Did you know that only a small portion of students learn best and retain information through reading alone? Yet schools continue to use textbooks and required reading as the cornerstone for many college and university level courses.
But what if there was a way to not only pass but excel in your nursing courses without spending hours reading and making notes from your textbooks?
INTRODUCING OUR ALTERNATIVE LEARNING STRATEGIES FOR NURSES AND NURSING STUDENTS!
We use video tutorials, mind maps, stories from real nurses, and other visual learning methods to teach nursing anatomy, pathophysiology and pharmacology concepts!
We currently cover all major patho units, from inflammation to diabetes to heart disease and stroke, and the best part is that you can learn all the content without reading those giant nursing textbooks! Each unit takes between 1 to 2 hours to cover and can be watched all at once or broken into smaller videos.

Lulu with the Lamp tutorials are based on detailed notes taken from multiple textbooks of medical-surgical nursing (Lewis et al., Brunner & Suddarth, Porth et al.) and augmented by several current NCLEX prep courses and textbooks). While we cannot guarantee to cover every detail your prof may test you on, we can promise that the core concepts and the vast majority of those obscure test references are included.
We are posting new tutorials and mind maps every month and welcome feedback as we build our repertoire.

Unit: Introduction to Diabetes Mellitus
This is an example of a shorter-length video that is part of a larger, more comprehensive series on the pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. While this is a shorter, focused video, you can watch the entire unit, which includes basic anatomy, pathophysiology, complications, and treatment for DM I & II.
(Other videos in this series include the difference between (DKA) diabetic ketoacidosis and (HHS) hyperosmolar hyperglycaemic state, the relationship between glucose and metabolism, and counter-regulatory hormones like glucagon and norepinephrine.)
